Project WE CARE! and Annual Citywide Neighborhood Conference To Be Held Sept. 12
City residents can honor community volunteers, get updates on city programs and services and take a bus tour of city bond project sites Saturday, Sept. 12, during “Shaping Our Communities Together: Project WE CARE! at the Annual Citywide Neighborhood Conference.” The program is open to the public and will begin at 10 a.m. in the Neal Bolton Home and Garden Building on the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. Project WE CARE! will present certificates to citizens, neighborhood groups and non-profit organizations who serve the community. The Annual Citywide Neighborhood Conference provides updates on city services and programs to citizens who serve on neighborhood associations.
There will be food and giveaways, and entertainment will be provided by the Community Band and First Baptist Church Mass Choir. Admission is free, but pre-registration is requested.
Attendees are requested to bring canned food for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
