- 3rd Meeting: Tuesday, April 9, 2019
- Drop-in Session: Tuesday, May 7, 2019
6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Walkertown High School Auditorium
5240 Sullivantown Road, Walkertown, NC 27051
The Interchange Plan will focus on future development around the US 158 (Reidsville Road)/Northern Beltway interchange. This plan will build upon the adopted Walkertown Area Plan Update with more detailed recommendations for the proposed Old Belews Creek Activity Center area, especially as it relates to design and appearance. The recommendations of this plan will not change or affect the construction of the Northern Beltway, already underway.
The kickoff meeting for the interchange plan was held on January 22, 2019 where input was received from residents on how they would like the area around the beltway interchange to develop. Community input from the kickoff meeting was presented at the second meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. At that meeting, citizens were divided into two groups to work with staff on a preliminary site plan design for the southeast quadrant of the interchange. The citizen input on the two preliminary site plans will be used to prepare a proposed development framework and conceptual renderings for the third community meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. There will be a future drop-in session on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 to review and comment on a draft interchange plan. The draft plan will be available on-line prior to the meeting.
