Transportation/DOT - July 11, 2017
The opening of the Research Parkway-U.S. 52 interchange, scheduled to take place July 12, will affect racing fans who use the Rams Drive exit off of U.S. 52 to get to Bowman Gray Stadium.
The Rams Drive exit will be permanently closed when the Research Parkway interchange opens. These fans instead should take the Research Parkway exit, which provides a more direct route to the stadium.
Fans who use Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to get to the stadium from Waughtown Street or from Business 40 will not be affected.
The opening of Research Parkway will also affect parking lot entrance and exit patterns at the stadium. Maps showing the new parking patterns and the new Research Parkway exit to the stadium are posted at BowmanGrayRacing.com.
